The myFirst Fone R2 has been enhanced with an upgraded IPX8 water resistance rating, demonstrating its ability to endure continuous submersion in water at depths exceeding 3 meters (roughly 3.3 feet) for a specified duration, without incurring water-related damage. Nonetheless, it's crucial to recognize that while the smartwatch boasts a water-resistant IPX8 classification, prudent caution is warranted. Despite its water resistance, specific activities like extreme aquatic sports or prolonged exposure to water may still jeopardize the smartwatch's optimal performance. Consequently, it's advised to refrain from utilizing the device for water-related activities, as such usage could potentially diminish its water resistance over time.

To prioritize the safety and security of your child, we have implemented a policy that prohibits the installation of any external applications on the watch. This measure is in place to mitigate potential risks that may arise from unknown or unverified sources. In other words, we have intentionally restricted the ability to add new apps to the watch. This decision is rooted in our commitment to safeguarding your child's well-being by minimizing the potential exposure to apps or content that could pose security concerns or come from untrustworthy origins. By maintaining this restriction, we aim to create a protected environment for your child's device usage, ensuring that only authorized and thoroughly vetted functionalities are accessible on the watch.

The watch strap has undergone rigorous testing during production and is highly durable, making it resistant to breakage even under heavy loads. The issue of screen cracking is uncommon as our myFirst products undergo strict testing during production. The myFirst Fone R2 has an elevated edge screen design to protect the watch's screen from simple impact or prevent it from hitting the ground directly.
